Robert F. Kennedy


Robert Kennedy was the brother of John F. Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States, and became a New York senator after his brother was assassinated in 1963. RFK began campaigning for the Democratic Presidential nomination in March of 1968 and was a strong supporter of Civil Rights. After winning the California primary in June, he was assassinated at The Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles by Sirhan Sirhan while walking through the kitchen at the end of a victory celebration. RFK died at the hospital on June 51968 and now lies at Arlington National Cemetery.
